I heard it somewhere. New York was the city of ambition. Los Angeles was the opposite. The city of pleasure.

If you know me, you can probably guess which side I lean toward.

And yet — I think I need a little LA in my life.

Let me be clear: this is a metaphor. I've never lived in either city. My entire picture of both places could be completely wrong. That's not the point.

The point is: if I wanted to live the LA lifestyle, how would I do it?

Honestly? I don't know. Does that surprise you? It shouldn't.

But here's what I do know: whatever lifestyle you choose, you still have to manage your money. There's no version of life where that need disappears.

I understand now: this is not a basic skill. It's a luxury skill. Not because it's complicated — but because understanding it requires effort. Real, deliberate effort.

Not everyone has been shown how. Not everyone had someone point the way.

That's what I'm here for.
